Questions before buying used cars from China
Start here for the main questions about the vehicles, company roles, quotes and export process. The details of your order are confirmed in your written quote and contract.
01 / Vehicles and availability
-
Are the model pages live stock listings?
The pages are model references for sourcing enquiries. They describe example models and batches. Contact us to confirm current vehicles, quantities and the unit details that can be proposed for your order.
-
Are the gallery photos of the vehicles I will receive?
The website galleries contain sample model images. Ask for the images and condition information that apply to the selected vehicles before confirming your order. Sample vehicle images. Actual vehicle details subject to confirmation.
-
What does “avg.” mileage mean?
It means the figure is a reference batch average. It is not a mileage reading for each vehicle. Confirm the individual recorded mileage for the vehicles proposed to you.
-
Why can the model year and first registration year differ?
Model year identifies the model reference; first registration records when a vehicle was first registered. They are separate facts, and both should be checked for the selected vehicles.
-
Can you source a model that is not in the catalogue?
Send the model, trim, quantity and destination you need. We will check sourcing options and confirm whether a proposal can be prepared.
-
Can every listed model be imported into my country?
Import rules differ by country. Send us your destination and we will confirm the vehicle details, emission standard and documents we can supply for your market.
02 / Inspection and specification
-
What inspection information can I request?
Ask for the inspection records, photos and videos available for the proposed vehicles. Confirm which checks have been completed, when they were completed and what the records cover.
-
Does “Premium grade” mean accident-free?
The grade should be read with the inspection findings and disclosed defects. Ask how the selected vehicle was assessed. A condition label alone does not establish accident or flood history.
-
Can I arrange an independent inspection?
Tell us your inspection requirements before agreeing the order. We will discuss whether it can be arranged and confirm the scope, cost and timing in writing.
-
Will China-market connected features work locally?
Connected-car and voice features are built for the China market and may not work in your country. Check the equipment, language, connectivity and software support needed for your intended use. For electrified vehicles, also confirm charging compatibility and available battery information.
03 / Company and payment
-
Why is the seller in Hong Kong while the vehicles ship from China?
Asia Isum Limited in Hong Kong is the contracting and payment entity. The vehicles are sourced in China, where our licensed export partner handles export customs clearance and the bill of lading. These are separate businesses with distinct roles.
-
How can I check who I am contracting with?
Ask for company information and check that the written quotation, contract and payment instructions identify the agreed entity. Isum Car is operated by Asia Isum Limited, Hong Kong, with Business Registration number 80982430. Raise any mismatch or unclear instruction before payment.
-
What are the payment terms?
We accept T/T payments in USD. Depending on the order, we require a 20%, 30%, or 100% deposit. The balance must be paid in full before the vehicle ships.
-
Do you publish prices on the website?
